«BASICS OF SEXOLOGY AND SEXOPATHOLOGY»

The program is developed on the basis of many years of psychoanalytical work with clients and couples experiencing sexual problems, as well as 15 years of experience in teaching sexology and sexopathology. The uniqueness of this program lies in the psychoanalytical reinterpretation of modern scientific research in the fields of sexology, sexopathology, physiology, and psychology. We offer a course featuring original models of practical work for correcting problems in love and sexual relationships. Unlike most other programs, this course consists of both theoretical and practical parts. The work takes place within an analytical group setting, where theory is integrated as a result of processing personal experience.

Course syllabus:
1. The concepts of «norm» and pathology in sexology and sexopathology
2. The cycle of sexual interaction. Sexual dysjunctions and dysfunctions, correction methods
3. Bodily aspects of sexuality. Prenatal aspects of sexual development. Bodywork. Aggression and sexuality. Sexual trauma and incest.
4. Working with sexual fantasies. Sexuality and virtual sex, pornography and its impact on sexuality. Love triangles as acting out of unconscious couple scripts
5. Love and sex as a platform for acting out disturbances in early object relations. Love and sex addictions. Romantic love as an escape from intimacy. Male sexual dysfunctions. Female sexual dysfunctions. Sexual disjunctions
6. Paraphilias and perversions. Sado-masochistic alliances. Envy and hatred in love relationships. The impact of psychopathology on the development of mature love relationships
7. Mature love and sexual relationships. Boundaries and time in love relationships. The possibility of mutual understanding between men and women – reality or utopia?
8. Psychodynamics of love relationships: motivation for partner choice; unconscious conflicts and relationship mechanisms; psychosomatic partnership; intimacy crisis; separation trauma
9. Sex, gender, and psychoanalysis. The phallocentric approach. The gynocentric approach. Psychoanalytic feminism. Issues of norm and marginality in gender identity.
10. Selection of the sexual object. Homosexuality, bisexuality, asexuality. Modern approach

Hosts:
Nataliia Pilhuk is a clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst, ECPP training analyst and supervisor, group analyst certified according to DAGG (Germany) requirements, UŠHA trainer, sexologist, certified specialist in sexotherapy and sexopathology from EPG (École Parisienne de Gestalt), and a member of ESSM (European Society for Sexual Medicine).
Yevheniia Abdullina is a psychologist, psychotherapist, certified and accredited Gestalt therapist and supervisor of the All-Ukrainian Association of Psychologists Practicing the Gestalt Approach «Ukrainian Gestalt Institute», certified specialist in sexotherapy and sexopathology by the EPG (École Parisienne de Gestalt), organizational consultant, and business trainer.
Anatolii Dobrodniak is a psychologist, training psychoanalyst certified by the ECPP, training group analyst and supervisor of the USGA, artist, art psychotherapist (international training project in art psychotherapy under the supervision of Dr. Margaret Hills de Zarate).

Program duration: 2 years – 210 academic hours (7 ECTS credits)
In the group: 22-26 participants
Work format: 10 three-day modules.

Admission requirements: higher specialized education (psychologists, doctors) and successful completion of the interview.
